| Made up of eight states and territories, when you travel Australia, you will quickly find a number of attractions and activities to visit. Those states and territories include the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia. One of the best ways to travel Australia is by hot air balloon. In the Australian Capital Territory, you can take a balloon over the national capital. You can also visit Black Mountain Tower, the Parliament House, and Lake Burley Griffin. Surrounding the Australian Capital Territory is New South Wales. New South Wales is home to Sydney and Newcastle. Further inland, the Outback is part of this area. Sydney offers visitors the Blue Mountain National Park, the Sydney Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, and the Sculpture by the Sea. To the south is Victoria, where Phillip Island and Melbourne. Melbourne gives guests the chance to go shopping, visit the art and culture, dine at exotic cafes, and take in the events around the city, like festivals, comedy shows, and sports attractions. Phillip Island is a place to watch and learn from a colony of little penguins while they take off on their daily parade. Above New South Wales is Queensland, which is home to Brisbane and the Great Barrier Reef. Brisbane is the perfect place to find arts, markets, and urban villages. You can also head over to Moreton Bay and Islands for a little fun with sand tobogganing. In South Australia, there are several things to see, but one of the most popular is Kangaroo Island. However, despite its name, Kangaroo Island is actually a perfect place to see and meet sea lions. Up above, the Northern Territory also has places like Alice Springs, where you can see the country’s oldest living art tradition. In Katherine, you can witness the Katherine Gorge and the Nitmiluk National Park. Around Darwin, there are several outdoor festivals, the Litchfield National Park, and Tiwi Island. Western Australia, where Albany, Perth, and Margaret River are located, gives a unique view of the other side of Australia. Near Perth, Fremantle is a world heritage building and Rottnest Island. All by itself, but still a place to visit while you travel Australia is Tasmania. Separated as Tasmania North, Tasmania South, and Tasmania West, you can visit the Southwest National Park, Cradle Mountain, and Freycinet National Park. Also in Tasmania is Hobart, the capital city, allows visitors to both wander the streets and the wilderness. Visit our Travel and Vacation Directory at http://vacationsurfer.net/. |
